Culture and Lifestyle Activities and Entertainment TV and Movies You Can Attend A Live Taping Of Reba McEntire’s New Sitcom Where do we sign? By Staff Author Published on August 16, 2024 Close Photo: JSquared Photography/NBCUniversal via Getty Images What’s better than watching Reba McEntire’s new sitcom on TV? Watching it filmed live, of course! McEntire’s upcoming series Happy’s Place will be shot in a classic sitcom style in front of a live studio audience, giving fans an opportunity to watch her do what she does best from just feet away. Filming on Happy's Place kicks off August 20 on the Universal Studios lot in Los Angeles. The production company is filling seats (and ditching the laugh track) by offering tickets to those who want to attend a taping. Keep in mind that reserving a ticket does not guarantee admittance. According to the 1iota website, passes are "issued in excess of capacity," meaning if there are no seats available on the day of your reservation, you're sadly out of luck. Feeling lucky? Happy’s Place, which McEntire will star in with boyfriend Rex Linn and former Reba co-star Melissa Peterman, follows Bobbi (McEntire) as she deals with the fallout from her father’s death, which results in her inheriting a bar with a half-sister she didn’t know she had. The multihyphenate will also voice the show’s theme song. "I love the sitcom genre. Of all the things I get to do, this is my favorite," McEntire said during an appearance at the 2024 Summer Television Critics Association Press Tour. "And to get to work with these folks, that's icing on the cake." Was this page helpful? Thanks for your feedback! Tell us why! Other Submit
