Monday night’s episode of The Voice was especially pressure packed for Team Reba’s Ruby Leigh. The 16-year-old chose to perform coach Reba McEntire’s 1990 hit “You Lie” not just in front of America, but the country legend herself.

Fortunately, the talented teen nailed it.

“You blew it out of the water. It was absolutely spectacular. The way you can hold a note out, and so powerful, it just absolutely slays me,” McEntire told Leigh as she dabbed her eyes with a tissue. “The best thing you can do is connect with the person when you’re singing, and you definitely do it. Gwen [Stefani] and I are bawling.”

"It touched my heart. I'm like [sigh of relief], 'At least I did a good job. I made Reba happy—I'm complete," Leigh told People after the show, noting that she and McEntire shared a sweet moment together following her performance.

"Walking off she was just telling me that I did everything that she told me to and that she was really proud of me," Leigh said. "She said I really connected with her on that song and she really felt it so that was one of the highlights for me."

The Missouri teenager went on to provide some insight into her relationship with her superstar coach.

"Reba is the sweetest person ever. She is like pumpkin pie as a person,” Leigh said.

“Her crying during my playoff… she said she finally knew what it was like for her mom to be so proud of her," she continued. "She treats me so well. I don't think I could've picked another coach."

Leigh is one of three remaining singers on Team Reba this season, along with Jacquie Roar and Jordan Rainer.  They will take on the rest of The Voice contestants in the semi-finals next week.

Good luck, y'all!
