Exciting news for country fans: Reba McEntire revealed that she will be singing in her forthcoming sitcom and is currently working on its theme song.

According to Deadline, McEntire confirmed rumors that she would be lending her famous voice to Happy’s Place during an appearance at the 2024 Summer Television Critics Association Press Tour.

“It’s written, and we’re recording it at the end of this month,” the country legend said about the show’s theme song. “Hope you like it.”

McEntire also wrote and recorded “I’m a Survivor,” the beloved theme song for her long-running WB sitcom, Reba.

Happy’s Place, which she'll star in with boyfriend Rex Linn and former Reba co-star Melissa Peterman, follows Bobbi (McEntire) as she deals with the fallout from her father’s death, which results in her inheriting a bar with a half-sister she didn’t know she had.

McEntire also shared that there’s a stage in the show’s namesake tavern where her character will perform.

"I love the sitcom genre. Of all the things I get to do, this is my favorite," The Voice coach said. "And to get to work with these folks, that's icing on the cake."

Happy’s Place premieres on NBC on Friday, October 18 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
