According to Billboard, the country artist's song "Sandpaper" features Springsteen and debuted at No. 26 on Hot Country Songs and No. 71 on the Hot 100. Springsteen's appearance on the Hot Country chart is a remarkable milestone, considering the "Born in the U.S.A." singer has showed up on charts for almost 50 years. And while Springsteen has appeared on the Hot 100 as many as 27 times, this is the first time he's done so since releasing "Working on a Dream" in 2009. (All but one of his top 10 hits came out in the 1980s.) "Sandpaper" is a sweet and self-effacing ballad from Bryan's latest album, The Great American Bar Scene, which has rocketed to the top of several charts since its release on July 4. The album reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Streaming Albums, Top Country Albums and Top Rock & Alternative Album charts, plus No. 2 on the Billboard 200. Bryan is known to be a fan of Springsteen and has covered his song "I'm On Fire" over the years, according to Taste of Country. The two performed "Sandpaper" together at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn back in March—and we're sure Bryan's fans are hoping for an encore. Was this page helpful? Thanks for your feedback!
