“Yellowstone” Actress Shares Emotional Goodbye To Series As Filming Concludes

Wendy Moniz bid farewell to Yellowstone after filming her final scene last week. 

The actress, who has played Montana Governor Lynelle Perry since the show’s first season, shared some photo highlights from the past seven years of filming along with an emotional message about reaching the series finale on Instagram. 

“Series wrap for me on Yellowstone and been having alllll the feels; sentimental, proud, grateful to name a few,” Moniz wrote in the caption. “What a beautiful experience I’ve had here; just incredibly fortunate to have worked with so many talented, dedicated, and kind people since 2017.”

“There’s been a lot to reflect on, because this place, with the exceptional people who make it live and breathe, has often felt like a home away from home over these last 7 years,” she continued. 

After Kevin Costner’s contentious premature exit and extensive delays due to strikes, filming on the final installment of the Paramount hit began in May. 

Luke Grimes, who stars as Kayce Dutton alongside Moniz, previously expressed his anxiety about Yellowstone’s highly anticipated return this fall. 

“It's been one of the most intense experiences of my life. Also, one of the most rewarding. It's changed my life in every way possible,” Grimes told People in March. "Nothing will ever be the same because of this show in all sorts of ways, good and bad. I will miss it terribly. I know that. I mean, I think I'm ready to know how it ends. I'm ready to tell the end of the story."

The second half of Yellowstone season five premieres November 10 on Paramount Network.
