Southern Living's editorial guidelines Published on July 4, 2024 Close Photo: Jason Davis/WireImage Thomas Rhett has a useful parenting tip that both he and wife Lauren Akins say is a major part of the way they are raising their four young daughters, Willa Gray, 8, Ada James, 6, Lennon Love, 4, and Lillie Carolina, 2. “Consistency is a thing me and Lauren both learned early,” Rhett shared in an interview with Taste of Country. “When your dad said something, your mom said something, it was fine if they said it once, ya know. But when it’s consistent of like it’s a yay or a nay, I think that’s what my kids love about me and Lauren. We just don’t bend on certain things.” Rhett admitted this can be tough to keep up—and, well, we wonder if he does bend from time to time. Parents are only human, after all. “You look at their faces and go, 'All right, you can have like nine Sour Patch Kids,'” Rhett said during the interview. The "Marry Me" singer recently shared a photo of himself and his four smiling daughters for Father's Day. The children hung a homemade banner and wore matching outfits for the special occasion. "I love being a dad so much," Rhett wrote on Instagram. "Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing dads getting it done out there."
