The fried chicken chain, which already makes customers happy with its cajun rice and expansive wings menu, has announced the addition of a brand-new biscuit to its menu and it’s sure to be a crowd pleaser. The Chocolate Chip Biscuit takes the restaurant’s classic soft buttermilk biscuits and fills them with chocolate chips and tops the new confection with a lashing of icing for a sweet treat. It’s the perfect pastry that could work as either dessert or breakfast and we certainly wouldn’t judge you if you had them for dessert and breakfast. This innovation in biscuit baking comes after Popeyes hit it big with the Strawberry Biscuits they introduced for Valentine’s Day. Aren’t we lucky to live in a world where we can eat both Chocolate Chip Biscuits and the Bojangles Bo-Berry Biscuits? That’s not all though. Popeyes is apparently looking to corner the sweet tooth market and has also added an Apple Caramel Cheesecake, which pairs caramel apple filling with the classically creamy cheesecake all on top of a buttery graham cracker crust. These two new desserts will be available at participating Popeyes locations nationwide starting August 5. However, these sweet treats aren't permanent fixtures on the menu (yet!) so if you're hankering to try them, better hurry on down to your local Popeyes and load up while you can.
