Jennifer Garner knows she has the type of fame most celebrities dream of.

In an appearance with her mother Pat on Today this week, the actress reflected on what it’s been like for them since their Pretend Cooking Show turned the 86-year-old matriarch into an “overnight sensation.”

"Well, people are so nice to me, and they're so nice to my mom," Jennifer told hosts Hoda Kotb and Sheinelle Jones. "And I think whatever kind of brand… or… not brand… whatever kind of fame I have is the nice kind. People just come up to me and want to say hi, and it's as if they know me. They're friendly and lovely to me pretty much always."

“And you’ve had that too,” she said as she looked at her mother beside her. Pat agreed.

"So, it's hard not to like it if you like people," Jennifer concluded.

The conversation then turned to Pat’s parenting style as Jones marveled at how “wonderful and delightful” Jennifer turned out to be.

“Well you don’t try to control everything they do,” Pat said referring to what she likes to call “benign neglect.”

Jennifer, who shares three children with ex-husband Ben Affleck, said she wishes she knew exactly how her parents managed to raise such well-behaved children so she could duplicate it.

"We all kind of just fell in line," the West Virginia native explained. "I don't know what my parents did. We respected them so much.”

There’s just something about those Garners...
