If you've ever traveled on Interstate 65-North between Montgomery and Birmingham, you've likely seen a billboard that captivates everyone who passes it: "Go to church or the devil will get you." The original sign was erected in the 1980s, and it was replaced with today's sign in 2018. The sign sits between Autauga and Chilton Counties, heart of Alabama's peach country, so to honor this beloved landmark (with its spicy message) and the sweet fruits that surround it, we introduce The Devil Will Get You Cocktail. Robbie Caponetto Ingredients Peach Puree: 2 peaches, unpeeled, pitted, and cut into 1-in. chunks 1/4 cup hot honey (such as Mike's Hot) 1/4 cup granulated sugar 1/4 cup water 1/4 tsp. kosher salt Cocktail: 1 lime wedge, to rim the glass Chile-lime seasoning (such as Tajín), to rim the glass Ice 3 Tbsp. Pour chile-lime seasoning onto a plate and dip the rim of the glass in the seasoning to coat. Fill the glass with ice and set aside. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the tequila, 3 tablespoons peach puree, and lime juice. Shake until chilled, about 30 seconds. Strain into the prepared glass.
