Instead of a muddled sugar cube, we use a homemade Cranberry Simple Syrup to add sweetness and a slight tang to this bourbon drink. The cocktail is finished with a traditional orange peel, but also Boozy Cranberries soaked in bourbon for both a pretty and punchy garnish. You can either drop them directly into the glass or thread them onto a toothpick for a fancier presentation. No matter how you choose to garnish it, this cocktail is the perfect nightcap to enjoy by the fire after a long day filled with holiday festivities. Ingredients 2 large cocktail ice cubes 4 oz. (1/2 cup) bourbon 1 oz. (2 Tbsp.) Cranberry Simple Syrup 4 dashes orange-flavored bitters 6 Boozy Cranberries 2 (3- to 4-in.) orange peel strips Directions Place ice cubes in 2 chilled rocks glasses. Divide bourbon, Cranberry Simple Syrup, and orange-flavored bitters evenly between glasses, and stir to combine. Divide Boozy Cranberries and orange peel strips evenly between glasses. (Alternatively, thread cranberries onto wooden picks, and set on top of rim of glasses.) Serve immediately. Rate It Print
