Despite all those awards and accolades, we’re guessing one of his favorite things to be called is grandpa. Jackson’s eldest daughter, Mattie, welcomed her first child into the world on June 20 and the country star shared a photo of the newest addition to the family. In the family photo, the "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere" singer and his wife Denise are shown alongside their eldest daughter, Mattie Jackson Smith, and the adorable new baby. “Denise and I are so happy to announce the arrival of our grandson Wesley Alan Smith,” Jackson wrote in the caption of a photo shared on social media. “Proud parents @MattieJackson and Connor Smith welcomed Wes into the world on June 20, 2024.” In her own post announcing the birth, Jackson Smith wrote, “One week ago my life was forever changed." She also shared that the baby’s name was chosen to honor his two grandfathers. In the photo caption, she told her newborn son, “If you’re anything like both your namesakes (Conor’s granddad and [Alan Jackson]), you’ve got quite a life ahead of you.” Jackson will have a few weeks to enjoy time with his new grandson before hitting the road on what he says is his final tour. Last Call: One More for the Road is coming to 10 cities between August 2 and May 17, 2025, before he hangs up his hat one last time. “I’ve been touring for over 30 years—my daughters are all grown, we have one grandchild and one on the way…and I’m enjoying spending more time at home," Jackson stated in a news release. "But my fans always show up to have a good time, and I’m going to give them the best show I can for this Last Call." Was this page helpful? Thanks for your feedback! Tell us why! Other Submit
